1. April has 24 apples that she wants to package in smaller bags. She wants to put the same number of apples in each bag.

a. List all the ways she can pack the apples.





b. April decides that she wants to pack her apples in such a way that each bag would have at least five apples. Find all the ways she can do this.

 

2. Janet has 26 red roses and 52 white carnations. She wants to give these flowers to as many people as she can, but she wants to give person the same number of roses and each person the same number of carnations. She knows she can not give them the same number of both types of flowers since she has more carnations.

a) How many people will receive a bouquet of flowers from Janet?

 

3. Michael is having a birthday party and needs to buy party supplies. He is expecting 30 people to attend his party. He plans on buying small bags of M&M's and single bags of potato chips. He wants to give each person the same amount of candy and potato chips. The bags of M&M's come in boxes of six and the potato chips come in boxes of five. How many of each box does Michael need to buy?
